"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." </div> <div> Awana is a wonderful tool for the local church. Besides the evangelism and discipleship opportunities it provides, Awana helps equip individuals in your church for the work of the ministry. Imagine turning your congregation into an army serving God. Having Awana in your church is a great way for fringe members to become involved, and it helps unite your lay leaders as a team in serving our Lord. People who have done little or no volunteer work find a place of meaningful ministry and are assimilated into your church. They work with the children and youth, share the gospel with them, encourage them, and have fun doing it! Soon many adults become so involved with Awana and other programs in the church that they can't imagine not being active in your ministry. This not only helps them to grow spiritually, but it benefits your church, too. </div> <div> Awana works!
